Each September Historic Fort Worth, Inc. celebrates
the connection between art and architecture through the talent
of studio artists at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center.
The 2018 honoree is George Grammer,
one of the last living members of the Fort Worth Circle,
a dynamic group of artists who painted and traveled
together between 1940 and 1960. Now 90+, Mr. Grammer
has enjoyed a stellar career in New York City
that continues to flourish today.
The 2018 featured artist is Julie Lazarus,
a painter and sculptor who also works in hand-blown glass.
Shirley Reece-Hughes, Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the Amon Carter Museum, will select the 2018 artist award winners.
Over 60 artists, with over 350 artworks, look forward
to seeing you on September 6th!
